The ASAP Programmable Water Heater Timer is ideal for apartments and multi-family properties. This is a stand-alone, wall-mounted module that is typically mounted below the electrical panel in an apartment. The timer is inserted into the line between the water heater circuit breaker and the water heater.

The ASAP Timer comes pre-programmed with the utility company’s specific “off” times for peak load periods. If your utility company does not yet have such a program, ASAP Timers can pre-program your timers to your specifications.

The multi-family manager has the ability to schedule 3 periods to stop heating water. For your tenants the timer comes with an override button to allow one 60-minute period of water heating during the pre-programmed off periods for special circumstances.

If the utility company ever needs to change these “off” times based on new peak load information, a secure plug-in dongle (similar to a USB flash drive) is used. This enables the change to be made quickly and error-free with no hassle to your tenants.

The programmable user interface of the A-1 offers your tenants a wide variety of options for programming further off periods based on daily, weekday, weekend, weekly and vacation menus. The interface transitions easily between English, Spanish and French for user convenience.

A watchdog system and a 10-year battery to restore settings and times immediately after power outages protect the timer systems.
Because the A-1 is mounted under the electrical panel the circuit breaker is readily available so the A-1 does not need or have a physical disconnect.
